I havenât read the book yet, but Iâd like to post some observations on fish-like images or graffitos on first century AD Jewish ossuaries and tombs. The image found by Jacobovici et al. is not unique at all. Similar representaions have been found on Jewish ossuaries (see Rahmani and Figueras). The one over here was taken randomly from Rahmaniâs volume. Iâm not convinced that the fish shown in The Jesus Discovery book is a whale eating Jonah. It might be, but Iâm skeptic. Much more interesting is the fish-like graffito found on ossuary n. 402 (Figueras) on which thereâs also the name ×ש××¢ (Jesus). That would be worth investigating and, maybe, writing a book as well (Iâll post on this ossuary later on, donât have much time now...).

Non ho ancora letto il libro, ma vorrei proporvi alcune riflessioni sulle immagini tipo pesce che sono state trovate su ossari e tombe giudaiche del tempo di Gesù. La rappresentazione trovata da Jacobovici et al. non è del tutto unica. Simili graffiti sono stati trovati su ossari giudaici (cf. Rahmani e Figueras). Quella qui sopra è stata presa a caso dal volume di Rahmani. Non sono convinto che il pesce mostrato nel libro The Jesus Discovery sia una balena che inghiotte Giona. Potrebbe essere, ma resto scettico. Molto più interessante è lâimmagine incisa sullâossario n. 402 pubblicato da Figueras, sul quale compare anche il nome ×ש××¢ (Gesù). Questo sì che dovrebbe essere approfondito per magari scriverci un libro (tornerò a parlare di questo ossario, non ho molto tempo ora...)
